Become a Health and Safety Coordinator at Dinamo

As a Health and Safety Coordinator (CoSS), you will participate in the planning, organization, and control of all site activities with the goal of eliminating hazards at the source to protect the health and safety of workers. You will work closely with the Superintendent and/or Foreman to achieve this objective.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the application of CNESST safety standards and the company’s best practices;
  • Serving as the health and safety reference on-site for all workers;
  • Participating in the safe coordination of activities;
  • Assisting injured workers in the event of an accident or incident, conducting an accident investigation, and notifying management;
  • Leading the site committee and preparing meeting minutes;
  • Supervising and, when needed, leading safety talks;
  • Conducting health and safety orientations for workers on-site;
  • Enforcing Dinamo’s prevention program;
  • Ensuring compliance with the prevention programs of our partners;
  • Preparing and completing various reports, documents, and health and safety statistics;
  • Inspecting the work, equipment, and site to ensure compliance with safety requirements;
  • Cooperating during visits from CNESST and other regulatory bodies that may come on-site;
  • Staying informed of innovative prevention practices and suggesting improvements as needed;
  • Working in close collaboration and cooperation with the Health and Safety Representative (RSS).

Desired Profile

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Relevant experience on construction sites or in an industrial environment – a major asset;
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards, particularly those of the CNESST;
  • Strong abilities in communication and training, with the capacity to engage teams around best practices;
  • Recognized for your rigor, autonomy, and ability to manage priorities;
  • Enjoy working on-site, staying close to the teams, and intervening proactively;
  • Demonstrate leadership while promoting a collaborative and respectful approach;
  • Comfortable using technology tools for managing documents and tracking health and safety records;
  • Driven to help achieve the highest prevention standards and support the well-being of workers.
